GREETINGS FROM THE WORLD OF PAPER
I hope your year has begun well and your creative juices are flowing. I have been working on an entry for APPROACH an exhibition in Japan held in conjunction with the IAPMA Congress in September.
My involvement in a postcard swap each month with another Papermaker has been entertaining.
My card this month for the nature theme was A SHORT LIFE, an etching of grasses and a cicader.
Workshops
My year of workshops began with two successful fund-raising workshops to aid the bushfire appeal. Thankyou to those of you who attended. I hope you are continuing to collect poems in your BOOK OF HEART WORDS.

A concertina book is a versatile style. It can be a place to store your artwork, a place to write or collect photos. It may be a travel journal to record your next trip. This bookbinding day will provide a delightful day learning how to make a concertina book and a slip case. Come along and make a book for yourself or to give a friend.
If you are an artist you may wish to bring some of your prints, paintings or drawings to include in your book. The book will be approximately 16cm x 12cm
Skills: In this workshop you will learn to make a concertina book with a hard cover, how to make a slip case in which to keep your book. You will also make a series of models showing variations to a concertina binding.
